                                         Trysch Koester

Trysch is a former professional musician and music teacher who received a life-altering wrist injury in the 90s.  She took up beading for therapy for her injury -- and has never stopped!  She now devotes her entire life to teaching and designing beautiful jewelry out of wire, beads and found items.  Because she was unable to pick up even a piece of paper for months, she understands the pain and frustration many people suffer when they use their hands for close work.  With her special knowledge and understanding, Trysch has developed jewelry-making techniques and positions that minimize pain for people with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Tendinitis.

In the mid 90s, a friend bought a wire magazine.  After looking at it for months and thinking, "gosh, there's sooooo much wire in each project", Trysch embarked on her first piece.  She has never looked back!  Her specialty is wire -- shapes, chains, freeform sculpture and design, clasps, and whatever forms she can think of!

However, wire is not her only passion.  Trysch has also become a master at beadwork, including right angle weave, brick stitch, all varieties of peyote stitch, various weaves, and Ndebele.  Intrigued by adding fiber work to her beading, Trysch has also been working with Kumihimo.  She has a Kumihimo Club at the store where she teaches, Beads, Beads, Beads, on the third Sunday of every other month.

Because she can never stop trying new products, Trysch recently became a certified Senior Instructor in Art Clay Silver (ACS).  She often incorporates ACS pieces into her jewelry designs.  Trysch is now teaching basic ACS classes at Beads, Beads, Beads.
